Ever since I read the books I have been waiting for a movie. The series centers on the adventures of Maximum Max Ride and her family called the Flock who are winged human-avian hybrids created at a lab called The School. The idea for Maximum Ride comes from earlier books of mine.

Maximum Ride is about genetically engineered children fleeing from scientists who have been using them for experiments their entire lives. The obvious exposition tortured dialogue and shoddy special effects just make you wish you were watching something else. The marketing for this book is also pretty intense including Blogspot and MySpace pages and a contest to put together a tie-in.
